Atlanta TIPOFF Club Names 2011 Early-Season All-Metro Team
The Atlanta Tipoff Club today announced the 60 student-athletes who make up the early-season All-Metro team.

ATLANTA (Dec. 8, 2010) – The Atlanta Tipoff Club today announced the 60 student-athletes who make up the early-season All-Metro team. The candidates were chosen through a vote by the Atlanta Tipoff Club’s board of selectors, comprised of leading basketball coaches and administrators from around the region, who based their criteria on expectations for the upcoming year.
The Atlanta Tipoff Club’s board of selectors will track the progress of all metro Atlanta players throughout this season, and use as a benchmark when determining the season-ending award winners, which include: the 30 player boy’s and girl’s all-Metro teams, boy’s and girl’s Metro players of the year, and Mr. and Miss Georgia Basketball. All honorees will be recognized at the season-ending Naismith Awards banquet presented by AT&T in March, 2011.
“The metro Atlanta area is full of outstanding basketball talent, including some players who will star at the next level,” said Eric Oberman, Atlanta Tipoff Club executive director. “This group represents the future of the game and we are eager to see the success they will have in the upcoming season.”
