Atlanta TIPOFF Club Announces Naismith High School Watch List
The top 10 senior boys and girls playing high school basketball throughout the county have been named to the Naismith Trophy High School Player of the Year watch lists, the Atlanta Tipoff Club announced today.

ATLANTA (Dec. 16, 2010) – The top 10 senior boys and girls playing high school basketball throughout the county have been named to the Naismith Trophy High School Player of the Year watch lists, the Atlanta Tipoff Club announced today.
The watch list was comprised by leading basketball journalists from around the country who form the national voting academy, and identify players under consideration for this award.
In February, the voting academy will narrow the list down to five male and five female candidates, with the winners being selected and recognized by the Atlanta Tipoff Club at the end of the high school basketball season.
"When you quantify ten boys and ten girls as the pre-season Naismith Trophy watch list candidates, you've tabbed the best of the best,” said Christopher Lawlor, New York Daily News writer. “That honor alone should be duly noted because it shows commitment, selflessness and extraordinary talent. The Naismith Trophy and basketball are synonymous. To be associated with the award, a recipient has written their own chapter in the history of basketball."
