Pac-10 Conference Leads The Way With 12 Candidates

ATLANTA (Oct. 25, 2007) – Twelve representatives from seven Pac-10 conference programs headline the 2007-08 Naismith Trophy presented by AT&T preseason candidate watch list, the Atlanta Tipoff Club announced today.  Led by UCLA with three (Darren Collison, Luc Richard Mbah a Moute, Josh Shipp), California (2), Stanford (2), Washington State (2), Arizona (1), Washington (1) and USC (1) also were represented.  North Carolina tied UCLA with three (Wayne Ellington, Tyler Hansbrough, Ty Lawson), and the ACC had the second-most candidates with seven.

ATLANTA (April 3, 2007) – Duke’s Gail Goestenkors and Washington State’s Tony Bennett have been named the 2007 Naismith Women’s and Men’s College Coaches of the Year award, respectively, the Atlanta Tipoff Club announced today.  They were selected by the Atlanta Tipoff Club’s board of selectors, a collection of leading basketball journalists, coaches and administrators from around the country, based on their coaching performances this season.

ATLANTA (April 1, 2007) – Kevin Durant, the University of Texas multi-talented freshmen phenom, was named the 2007 Naismith Trophy Men’s College Player of the Year presented by AT&T, the Atlanta Tipoff Club announced today.
